For journalists & newsrooms
Use Inflameter in your reporting
Everything here is free for editorial use with attribution. Widgets update themselves — embed once, and your article stays current forever. Available in 9 languages.
1 · Auto-updating embeds
Two widget types for any of 190+ countries. They fetch live data on every view — no maintenance, ever. Change c= to any ISO-3 country code (CZE, DEU, USA, BRA…) and lang= to en, es, de, it, fr, cs, pl, ja or ko.
2 · Downloadable charts & data
On every country view at inflameter.com you'll find, next to the history chart: PNG (a 1200×630 publication-ready chart with attribution baked in), CSV (year-by-year data for your own graphics team), and Embed (the code above, pre-filled).
Deep links are stable and citable: inflameter.com/?c=CZE opens Czechia; add &y=1993 to open a specific historical year — the whole page, including the world map, travels to that year.
3 · Attribution
Required credit when using our widgets, charts or screenshots:
Source: Inflameter (inflameter.com) · Data: World Bank, IMF, Eurostat
The underlying statistics are published by the World Bank (CC BY 4.0), the IMF and Eurostat; Inflameter presents them unchanged. Our visualisations, wording and design are free for editorial use with the credit above. No permission needed — just the line.
4 · Story ideas we can support
- Monthly inflation days — embed your country's meter next to the release story; it updates itself.
- Anniversaries — "Inflation the year you were born": deep-link any year, e.g.
?c=DEU&y=1974. - Comparisons — the fullscreen map with the timeline makes 1980s hyperinflations or the 2022 wave visible in seconds.
- Purchasing power — the built-in calculators answer "what is a 1990 million worth today" for any country, in its own currency.
